Welcome to the
Challenger Division for players with special need at Sunnyvale Little
League!
After a long absence due to the pandemic, we are
looking forward to an exciting season and making new friends. Information on
this page pertains to Sunnyvale Little League's Challenger Division for the
2023 season.

Player
Buddy
Challenger for players with special needs are assigned a
buddy to offer guidance, to keep them safe, and to provide the best experience
for the player. Buddies assist with batting, run along the bases with the
players, and aide them in the field. Every game we need Buddy Volunteers. If
you would like to volunteer as a buddy, please email
divdirectorchallenger@sunnyvalelittleleague.com and you will
receive an email to a link to a signup page. Buddies can be boys or girls and
do not need to have played baseball. If you are a baseball player and can
volunteer as a Buddy, please come in full uniform.
Sunnyvale LL Challenger Home Games
- Home games will be played at Serra Park and on
Field #1 (Serra 1)
- Buddies should arrive at 1:15 for field preparation
and to get ready)
- Players should arrive at 1:30 for warm-ups
- Game time is 2:00pm on Sundays. (Please note that
some games may be played in the morning)
- We will aim to complete at least two innings and
games will usually end by 3pm or 3:30pm.
- If it has heavily rained recently, there is a
chance the field may be closed. This is determined by the City of Sunnyvale
Parks and Recreation Department. Call Sunnyvale City's Field Hotline at
408-730-7585 to determine the status of the fields
