Document Verification

Document Verification is required for ALL players participating in the spring baseball season. This is not required for the fall baseball season (i.e. "Fall Ball"). Little League Baseball requires each league to verify that participating players live or attend school within the league's boundaries and must verify age for participation in postseason play.

The league will hold Document Verification Day which is typically held in conjunction with the Juniors / Intermediate / Majors/Minors player evaluations at a location to be communcated by the league.

For Age & Address Document Verification you will need to bring:
  • You MUST bring proof of age for each player, such as an original birth certificate (copies will not be accepted).
  • You MUST bring documentation which proves residency within our league's boundaries. Residence shall be established and supported by documents containing the full residence which includes parent(s) or guardian(s) name, street address, city, state and zip code information, dated or in force between February 1, 2023 (previous year) and February 1, 2024 (current year). WE CANNOT ACCEPT DOCUMENTS OUTSIDE THIS DATE RANGE. You MUST bring one document from EACH of the three Groups outlined below:
    • Group 1
      • Driver’s License (photo ID of parent(s) or guardian(s) with qualifying residence address)
      • School records (home address of player’s parents or guardians)
      • Vehicle records (i.e., registration, lease, etc.)
      • Employment records
      • Insurance documents (with residence address)
    • Group 2
      • Welfare/child care records
      • Federal records (i.e., Federal Tax, Social Security, etc.)
      • State records
      • Local (municipal) records
      • Support payment records
      • Homeowner or tenant records
      • Military records
    • Group 3
      • Voter’s Registration
      • Utility bills (i.e., - gas, electric, water/sewer, phone, mobile phone, heating, waste disposal)
      • Financial records (loan, credit, investments, etc.)
      • Medical records
      • Internet, cable, or satellite television records
  • You MUST bring a valid ID for each volunteer (for the purpose of background checks)

If you do not live within SVLL's boundaries, but your child attends a school within our boundaries, you may satisfy residency requirements via the following:
  • A school issued report card or performance record will no longer be accepted to establish school attendance. Either the school enrollment form or an official/certified school enrollment record dated prior to October 1, 2023 can be used to establish school attendance for the 2024 season.
