Opening Day is this
Saturday!
After months of preparation, we're just days away from
unveiling the new Sunnyvale Little League! Opening Day ceremonies are scheduled
for Saturday, March 11th. We'll kick off the season at 9am, when all teams will
be introduced at De Anza Park.
Opening ceremonies will run
approximately one hour. All players should arrive at De Anza Park by 8:45am
dressed in full uniform, and assemble with their respective teams.
We
will officially start the season with a Challenger game at Faber Field (De Anza
1). All teams will play games, although they will be held at both De Anza Park
and Serra Park. Be sure to check the game schedule for field assignments and
times.
Snack shack at both De Anza Park and Serra Park will be open,
and we'll also have some legacy gear for sale. Be sure to grab a hot dog and a
drink at catch a game or two.
In order to fit games into a tight
schedule this season, some Major and Minors teams will be playing games
starting on Monday, March 6th leading up to Opening Day.
