New Batting Cage
Nets at De Anza Park
Sunnyvale Little League has completed
the first phase of our batting cage upgrade, by installing new batting cage
nets at our De Anza Park batting cage facility. These nets allow our players to
practice their hitting skills in a controlled environment, which ensures safety
to players, coaches and spectators.
These nets were installed by a team
of parent volunteers, who dedicated their Saturday to the ffort. Sunnyvale
Little League is a parent volunteer run organization, so projects like this
only happen with efforts like this from our membership base. Many thanks to the
team who helped make our net installations happen.
Upgrades will
continue after the new year, when we upgrade the nets in our Serra Park batting
cage facility.
Usage Rules
All existing batting cage rules
remain in effect. If you are unfamiliar with these rules, please contact your
coach or a board member.
The new nets have a break / portalin the
corners near the cyclone fence gates in each batting cage tunnel. Players and
coaches should enter the batting area by opening the partition and gently
stepping through the break without tangling themselves in the netting. DO NOT
lift the net in order to enter the batting area. Use the break / portal to
enter.
