Extreme Heat
Warning from 8/31 through 9/4
The National Weather Service
has issued an excessive heat advisory for the San Francisco Bay Area that will
impact Santa Clara County, from Thursday, Aug. 31 through Labor Day Weekend, on
Monday, Sept. 4. More info:

Children
are at an increased risk of heat-related illnesses during temperatures like
these. The County has
info available in English, Spanish, and
Vietnamese about how to recognize a heat-related illness, and how to avoid
them.
Air quality is forecast to be unhealthy. See
recommendations about reducing or avoiding exertion
outdoors, especially for children and those with lung diseases like
asthma.
All Sunnyvale Litte League teams conducting any baseball related
activities this weekend should heed these heat warnings, and may elect to
reschedule or cancel.
