Sunnyvale Little League Membership – Seasons
Greetings! Hopefully everyone is knee deep in holiday activities and winding
down a fantastic 2018. As the year comes to a close, the Sunnyvale Little
League (SVLL) Board of Directors are hard at work preparing for the 2019 Spring
Season. As those preparations are in full swing, there are a few notes I wanted
to pass on to all of you.
Registration is
Open
We officially opened registration for the 2019 Spring
Season in early November. We are offering an early bird discount if you
register by December 17th. Save a little cash by registering before that
deadline. We are also planning on hosting a pre-season clinic for Majors and
Minors level players in early January, but players must be registered in order
to participate. All registration is handled online. You can find those details

Tis the Season of Giving
While our
league finances are strong, we rely on registration fees, and various
fundraising activities in order to cover the extensive costs required to run a
baseball league. We are non-profit organization who relies on corporate and
personal donations. Corporate sponsorship allows us to promote them through
several marketing opportunities like our website, on field banners and our
yearbook. If you know of a company that may be interested in sponsoring the

Coaching & Umpiring is the Gift that Keeps on
Giving
SVLL is entirely run through parent volunteers. We are
actively in the process of identifying adult coaches and umpires for the
upcoming season. You can’t get any closer to the action, so give it a try.

We Need More Elves
The
Board of Directors is in dire need of a new Treasurer and Secretary. These
roles are currently being covered by sitting board members who are frankly
stretched too thin. That means that we are not focusing the attention required
to some vital areas of the league.
We are also in need of some pro bono
work related to two important projects. We are in need of a CPA who can help us
file our tax return, and also an electrician who can help install new
scoreboards that we plan to implement at Serra Park.

With the new year
less than a month away, we have a couple of events scheduled for January. That
means the season starts now. Be sure to get registered so that we can see you
