February President's
Letter
SVLL Membership -
We are now officially less
than a month away from our 2019 Opening Day on Saturday, March 9th. As we
prepare for the season, there are a few things I wanted to share.
Team Formation If your child is playing in the
Majors or Minors Division, you should have been notified by your child's
manager. If your child is playing in the Farm, Pioneer or T-Ball Divisions, you
will be notified shortly. Those teams are being finalized currently. All
Juniors level players are playing on the same team, and will receive more info
shortly.
Field Access We partner with the
City of Sunnyvale, who provide access to all the wonderful fields throughout
Sunnyvale. These fields are officially closed until March 1st as they are
"resting" for the winter. While we all want to get on the fields, please
refrain from using them until March 1st. Failure to do so could result in our
league losing our access to them. SVLL Day at Stanford
Baseball The league is planning on holding a Sunnyvale Little League
Day at the Stanford Baseball Game versus UCLA on Sunday, April 7th. We hope to
see all our families out at the game. This will be a great day of high level
college baseball and community. We are selling a limited number of tickets. You
can reserve your tickets by completing the form here:

Gear Up for the
Season Sunnyvale Little League has partnered with our Grand Slam
Sponsor, Dick's Sporting Goods and will be holding a shopping event at the
Sunnyvale location on Saturday March 2nd and Sunday March 3rd, 2019. Sunnyvale
Little League Families will receive a 20% discount on most store items. Our
families may want to use this discount if you are considering any major
baseball equipment purchases, like gloves or bats.
You must print and
present this flyer to receive this discount:

Help, We Need You The league is in dire need of a
Treasurer to help us manage our league financials. If we can't find someone to
help take on this responsibility, we will be forced to pay for a bookkeeper,
which will cost the league several thousand dollars each year. That is money
that we would prefer to spend on league programs. Please feel free to reach out
to me if you are interested via email at:

Sponsors
Needed We try to prevent fee increases at every opportunity. One of
the things that helps keep the cost of the league down are our sponsors. We
need your help to find these sponsors. Please check with your employer or a
local business to see if they would be interested in sponsoring our league.
We'll help market those business. More details available here:

As always, if you
have any questions about the league, please feel free to reach out.
See you out on the diamond, Mike Lee President Sunnyvale Little
League
