Ball season is now open. This is a more relaxed season which emphasizes player
development and is a good opportunity for players to up-level to a higher
division if they are planning on advancing in the spring. DON'T WAIT to

5 Crown The Sunnyvale Little League All Stars took another step toward
the Little League World Series on Wednesday night when the Intermediate
Division All Stars beat Los Gatos Little League 12-3 at Quimby Oak Middle

All Stars advance to Section 5 Tournament The Sunnyvale Little League
Juniors All Stars defeated Los Altos Little League 8-5 on Saturday to cap a
District 44 Championship. The Juniors All Stars did it the hard way by coming
back through the Elimination Bracket, beating Briarwood 12-1 on Thursday night,
Los Altos 14-4 on Friday night, before taking the district crown with a win in
the "if necessary" game at MacDonald High School in San Jose. >> more

Juniors Padres capture CA District
44 TOC Crown The Sunnyvale Little League Juniors Padres completed a
perfect run in the California District 44 Tournament of Champions with a
thrilling 8-7 victory over the Los Altos Little League Yankees at Purissima

SVLL Alum Logan Thompson makes collegiate debut
Congratulations to Sunnyvale Little League alum Logan Thompson on his
collegiate baseball debut. Thompson appeared in relief for the University of
Central Washington Wildcats (Great Northwest Athletic Conference) vs the

Hot Weather Policy
To help prevent heat related illness, SVLL is adopting a Heat Index based
approach to suspending league activity during periods of excessive heat. In all
cases, Managers should use their discretion and err on the side of caution if

Baseball Equipment Guide
With the start of the season on horizon, many parents want to know what
equipment their children should have in preparation for Little League baseball.
This will vary depending on the division that your child is playing in, but
we've tried to put together the following guide. Please be sure to ask our
Player Agents or Equipment Director to get answers to specific questions.

Members Needed Sunnyvale Little League is a 100% volunteer run
organization. We need parent volunteers to help run the league, as several
board members are aging out of Little League. We have several board positions
opening up in June, and are looking for a few dedicated parents to help fill

Little
League Bat Standards Little League Baseball will be adopting new bat
standards as of January 1, 2018. All bats manufactured last year are now
ineligible for use in any Little League activity. In order to participate in
the league, all players must use USA Baseball approved bats. >> more info
